Your day in Luxor continues with an exploration of its West Bank, a site of immense historical significance and architectural marvel.
After breakfast at your hotel in Luxor, our guide will pick you up to start your journey on the West Bank. Your first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, renowned for its intricately designed tombs and the burial site of many ancient Kings. This valley is home to the tombs of pharaohs such as Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tutankhamun, Ramesses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II.
Next, you'll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most extraordinary figures. As the daughter of Thutmosis I and the only female pharaoh, her reign was marked by prosperous and peaceful years. The temple is a tribute to her unique legacy and stands as an impressive example of ancient Egyptian architecture. Concluding your tour of the West Bank, you'll see the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, a marvel of ancient craftsmanship.
Afternoon: Return to Cairo
After finishing your day tour, we will transfer you to Luxor’s domestic airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the evening at leisure, relaxing and reminiscing about your incredible experiences in Luxor.
